Central Coast Chapter - CAMFT
How do you find a therapist? The California Association of Marriage
and Family Therapists (CAMFT) is an independent
professional organization representing the interests of licensed
marriage and
family therapists. The Central Coast Chapter wanted a way for residents to find
a therapist based on location or area of expertise.
Visitors can easily find the therapist that meets their needs. Therapists can update their information. CAMFT can recruit new members and communicate with existing members.
Solutions
Finding a therapist on the Central Coast
Solutions for client:
Searchable therapist database: a php driven database was developed so visitors can find a therapist via first or last name, location of the therapist, or issue e.g. divorce, eating disorders. Relevant information is displayed for the visitor to learn more about the therapist and get contact information.
Therapist interface to update their information: A member log-in area for the therapists allows them to update their information for the "find a therapist" application.
Administration:Communicating with Chapter members was
named "e-tree messaging" whereby an admin can receive a message
and mass email the members in an interface within the website itself. Other
highligts are the ability to manage member's access to the
site, database administration, and mailing list generation.
